On Monday, February 9, 2009, at 8:20 AM two semis pulled into the City of Osceola from Dean Machinery Co. out of Kansas City, Missouri.  One semi was transporting a 324D Track hoe while the other was transporting an articulate truck.

The journey immediately began for Chamberlain Logging & Excavating (660-924-6082) (a father and son team) donating” their time for 4 of the next 5 days to run the heavy equipment.

Why?  The opening of the cove out into the river before this was started was approximately 4’ wide and 3” deep.  Now, this opening is approximately 20’ deep and 45 - 50’ wide.

“THANK-YOU” from the City of Osceola Board of Alderman for all your work to Jim & James Chamberlain, Dustin Gibbs, Shane Magoon, Jim Dines & Dale Harper!

Also, a special “THANK-YOU” to the Sac-Osage Fire Protection District for bringing the pumper truck to clean the boat ramp, Track hoe, articulate truck and the parking lot.

“Thanks” to the following individuals who supplies the following pictures of the opening being cleaned out:  Lana Chamberlain, Sandy Sartin, Glenna Pritchard & Dustin Gibbs.

The following pictures are from the first day and the opening into the river being cleaned out.
